Summary for Real World Project

For this project, I went to Petsmart. For the business, I was asked by one of the managers to survey the people in the store based on if they have used the Banfield Pet hospital located in Petsmart. I asked them if they have used it before. If they said yes, then I asked them if they liked the service. If they said no, I asked them if they would consider it. The best part of the project was learning new things and getting out of my comfort zone and using confidence. The most difficult was talking to the manager and the customers. The part of the project I am most proud about, is getting out of my comfort zone and having to have confidence to communicate with others. From the project, I learned how to talk to people and not be afraid to ask and I learned how to organize a business report for the company. The skill I believe I most developed from this project was confidence.

Hi, my name is Kjersti and I am a student from Deer Valley High School and I am here on behalf of a school project for one of my classes. So I was wondering if I could walk around and survey your customers about a certain product or Pet service. Do you have any specific preferences on what I survey about?
        (If they do then say: Okay thank you for your time and I will get back to you soon with the data.)
        (If they say no: then suggest maybe a Pet service)

• Why do you like shopping at Petsmart?
• Do you shop at any other pet stores?

Questions to ask Manager!!
  1. Who is your biggest competitor in the business life?
  2. What do they have that you don't?

•   Do they have Grooming? Training? Hotel? Day Camp? Hospital? Adoptions?
•   Do they have more ways of advertising?
•   Do they sell products for less?
•   Do they have more sales/deals? 
•   Do they have things based on seasons? new style?
